Spanish LaLiga outfit Real Betis have told their Liverpool FC counterparts to increase the amount initially offered for the services
of their 28-year-old Algerian defender Aïssa Mandi before thinking of about taking the player to the Anfield.
This week reports of a £9 Million bid for the services of the player made rounds on the media with some reporting it is a near done deal.
Yes this is likely to happen. In all honesty, Mandi is a cheap and affordable defender innthr circumstances, with sufficient knowledge to deliver at Anfield.
Unfortunately, the 2019-2020 English Premier League Champions need to do more if they must sign the 2019 AFCON winner to replace Dejan Lovren who has left for Zenit Saint Petersburg.
Mirror Sport is reporting that the Spanish outfit wants a minimum of £10.8 million to let go of the defender.
Mandi is on contract at Betis till the summer of 2021.
The Châlons-en-Champagne-native has established himself as one of the most reliable defenders in the LaLiga.
Mandi has featured in 28 of his Club’s League games in the just-ended campaign.
Mandi has made over 100 appearances in the last four years for Real Betis.
Athletico Madrid, New Castle United, Olympique Lyonnais and Barcelona have been linked with a move for the player.
