Egyptian Premier League giant Al Ahly of Cairo have completed the signing of 23-year-old Egyptian sweeper Ahmed Ramadan Beckham.
The 2019 Under-23 AFCON winner on home soil joins Egyptian champions from Wadi Degla on a five-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
It is a return to familiar territory for the Al Ahly youth team product initially left the Club to Haras El Hodood in 2015 and later to Wadi Degla.
The defender expressed his delight about returning to where it all started: “Al Ahly is my home and it has been my club since I was a kid,” Beckham told the media.
Beckham had a remarkable 2019-2020 campaign at Degla, featuring in 30 domestic championship games as a leader of the defense.
He has featured in 77 Egyptian Premier League games in his young career.
The one-time Egypt Under-20 international is expected to carry that form to an Al Ahly side with even greater competition for places when the new season gets underway.
