- Eric Choupo Moting has completed recovery from Covid-19 and returned to training at FC Bayern Munich.
Injured Cameroon and Bayern Munich forward Eric Maxim Choupo Moting has recovered and returned to full training at German Bundesliga side FC Bayern Munich.
The 32-year old Indomitable Lions of Cameroon scorer was a part of the players that made themselves available for coach Julian Nagelsmann during Tuesday’s training after recovering from a close to three weeks spell in quarantine and treatment for Covid-19.
The return of the striker is a good news for club and country, given his recent contributions and the competitions ahead.
Choupo who will only feature for Bayern next year is amongst 40 players pre-selected by Indomitable Lions of Cameroon Coach António Conceiçao for the 2021 Africa cup of Nations.
Choupo was having an exceptional start to the ongoing season before the health issues.
The striker has scored eight goals in 12 appearances for his the 31 time German champions.
For Cameroon, Choupo scored twice during the September FIFA international break and will be a deciding influence if they plan to win a sixth AFCON title on home soil.
There has been reports of his club wanting a late clearance before letting him go to the AFCON but there’s a greater chance he participates in the 33rd edition of the tournament than otherwise.
