After their 1-3 away win over Royal Queens in their week eleven tie coupled with Rivers Angels 0-0 draw with Sunshine Queens, Bayelsa Queens opened up a five points gap at the top of the 2021 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership table.
One of the team players of Bayelsa Queens, Zainab Olapade says her side can extend and maintain their leadership position as far as the league is concerned.
“I don’t think. I believe by the grace of Almighty Allah we will extend the points to maintain the top position. It’s not easy to maintain the top, but by the grace of God we will maintain the momentum.” She told www.kick442.com.

Zainab Olapade scored her first goal of the season for Bayelsa Queens in the course of their 1-3 win over Royal Queens in Warri after goals from Anjor Mary and Charity Reuben had put them in a comfortable position.
She said: “I was so happy and overwhelmed because I have been wanting to score for my new team. Alhamdulillah to Almighty Allah for making it possible for me against Royal Queens.”
Olapade Zainab joined Bayelsa Queens from Sunshine Queens of Akure before the kick-off of the 2021 NWFL Premiership season.
She featured for her side during the 2020 Flying Officers Cup which Bayelsa Queens emerged as Champions.
The league leaders will welcome DreamStar FC Ladies in their week twelve encounter on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.
