The 2017-2018 Nigeria Women Premier League, NWPL Champions, Bayelsa Queens Football Club are preparing for the 2020-2021 league season with the conclusion of player’s medicals, www.kick442.com can report.
Medicals for players are one of the prerequisites stipulated by the Nigeria Women’s Football League, NWFL for Clubs ahead of the scrapped 2019-2020 league season. In line with this, the Moses Aduku tutored side has conducted medicals for the club players.
The medicals were confirmed by the Club Media Officer, Preye Yabreifa on Saturday with pictures of players taking turns for their medicals.
Bayelsa Queens emerged as 2017-2018 league winners and finished third in the 2018-2019 Super 4 with the Club striker, Anjor Mary emerging as the highest goal scorer and best player of the season with six goals.
The Yenegoa based Club have won the league four times in 2004, 2006, 2007, and
2018. They will hope to replicate the 2018 feat with their fifth league title when the 2020-2021 season kicks off at a yet to be announced date by the NWFL after the 2019-2020 season was scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
