Cameroon international basketball super star Joel Embiid playing for Philadelphia 76ers in USA has won the NBA scoring title, for the 2021/22 season to become the first Philadelphia player to top the league since Allen Iverson 17 years ago.
Embiid set out an outstanding performance on Sunday’s final against Detroit and finished with a 30.6 points.Thereby over overthrowing his major opponent Milwaukee Giannis Antetokounmpo on a 29.9 points.
Joel has won the prestigious trophy which has already passed through the hands of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
The Cameroonian basketball forward had failed to grab the MVP title with 52 games and 1,585 minutes last season. After being lead by Nikola in 72 games and 2,488 minutes.
He is the first Sixer named All-Star Starter for five consecutive seasons since Iversion won the last of his four scoring titles in 2005-05 season.
