Osun Babes right full-back, Barnabas Blessing has spoken on the Osogbo based club’s ability and capabilities as players and officials await the new kick-off date for the 2019-2020 Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL Premiership.

She is optimistic that Osun Babes can win the Aiteo Cup and league title. She said this during an exclusive chat with kick442.com

“My target last season was to play Super 4 but we didn’t meet up. I don’t really know what happened but I will say it is bad luck. Notwithstanding, I thank God we came out victorious during the relegation playoffs to be able to maintain our league status because it would have been painful for us to relegate to the second division.” She told kick442.

Osun Babes is expected to host Adamawa Queens in their league opener when the NWFL Premiership kick-off after the novel COVID-19 pandemic.
The former Abia Angels defender is also hopeful that Osun Babes will win their first league game when the league eventually kick-off.
“Ɓy God’s grace we are winning our first match at home. I am keeping myself fit at home because the league can start at any time. In the next five years, I want to be playing for the Super Falcons as well as in Europe. I want to leave this country.” She concluded.

Barnabas Blessing made an assist for Osun Babes in the course of the 2018-2019 relegation battle season with her club. She believed that the club can shake off last season’s abysmal performance by challenging for top honours when the league starts.
