A late goal from Indomitable Lions of Cameroon forward Stephane Bahoken helped SCO Angers secure a point at home to Montpelier in match-day 31 of the French Ligue 1 championship.
Bahoken started upfront while Cameroon-eligible midfielder Ibrahim Amadou occupied the holding midfield role.
It was a difficult afternoon for Cameroon international Stephane Bahoken and his Angers mades as they struggled to get their rhythm going for all of the first segment.
The host’s difficulties were doubled earlier in the second segment when just two minutes in, Montpelier took the lead through Stephy Mavididi.
Bahoken leveled scores in the 72nd minute with a fine solo effort.
There wasn’t another goal in the last 18 minutes of the game, thus both sides settled for a 1-1 draw at the end.
Amadou was replaced in the 65th minute while Bahoken played the entire game as Angers took a point from the fixture.
Angers are ranked 11th in the championship with 41 points from 31 games this season.
They face Sedan in a French cup fixture on Wednesday before traveling to Lyon to face Toko-Ekambi’s Olympique Lyonnais in their next league fixture.
Bahoken has scored six goals and provided one assist in 23 appearances in the league this season.
