UAE top flight side Al-Ain are lining up a loan move for Egyptian international defender Baher Elmohamady, according to reports from Abu Dhabi Sports.
The 23-year-old defender has been a key player for Ismaily SC for the last couple of years, justifying his first call up into the Egyptian national team in 2018.
This season, he has featured in 16 games, with two goals and an assist to his name.
The defender has expressed the wish to move abroad and make the most of his fine form.
He was also rumoured to be on the verge of a move to Al Ahly, but the Cairo giants refused having any interest in the highly rated defender.
According to reports from Abu Dhabi Sports, a loan offer from Al-Ain for Elmohamady is close.
The player is judged to be too expensive for fellow local clubs which makes only a move abroad more likely for him.
He is currently sidelined with a knee ligament injury and will be hoping to recover just in time not to miss out on the move to the Gulf.
