It is a great start to life in Israel as Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and Kaïrat Almaty defender Macky Bagnack scored the winner as his side defeated their Serbian visitors by 2-1 on Wednesday night in a hotly-contested fixture at the Ortaliq Stadium.
Bagnack who made his first appearance in a competitive game for the Club had the right aggression from the moment of his introduction in the 68th minute.
Strong and difficult to beat – Bagnack who came in for Shushenachev with the game tied at 1-1 after Kante’s 24th minute opener had been canceled by his colleague Mikanovic who beat his own keeper had a telling impact.
The strong Cameroonian scored what happened to be the winner 11 minutes after his introduction, before being booked as hisb side took a bold step towards qualifying for the third qualifying rounds of the 2021-2022 UEFA Champions League.
Bagnack recently joined the Club on a two-year deal from Serbian side Partizan Belgrade, who are everlasting foes of Red Stars thus giving his goal something extra.
Kaïrat will travel to Belgrade for the return game next week but before then they will face Arys in the Israeli cup this weekend.
