28-year-old Algerian forward Baghdad Bounedjah has successfully undergone surgery to sort out an Abducture problem he has been subject to in the last few weeks.
The Qatar-based forward on the books Al Sadd SC has had a great season with 17 goals to his name this campaign helping his club to the third spot on the log. A performance which has earned him nomination for the Qatar Star league player of the season.
“Baghdad has been successfully operated, he will be out for four weeks”; Al Sadd wrote on Twitter.

Baghdad, his international colleague Yacine Brahimi plus Edmilson and Achram Afif are in the race for the Qatari league player of the 2019-2020 season.
The Ex Etoile de Sahel forward has been a great asset since switching from Etoile to Al Sadd in 2015. The Oran native has scored 93 goals an in 75 appearances for the club.
Fortunately his club won’t be affected by his one month absence giving that the Qatari championship has been put on a hold due to the health threats of the CoronaVirus pandemic.
The big forward scored Algeria’s winner in the 2019 AFCON final against Senegal.
The ex USM El Harrach striker has scored 16 goals in 35 caps for the Algeria senior national team.
