Eteki Esoh Memorial Sports Academy of Tiko have recorded an emphatic 6-0 against Treviso of Kumba this Sunday in match-day three of the Southwest Regional League championship at the Tiko Town Green Stadium.
Midfielder Mbi Perkins and forward Bache Manfred who scored twice were the standout performers on the day.
Though Treviso arrived the field late for the game and kicked off without warm-up they resisted the EEMSA attacking machinery for half an hour.
Mbi Perkins ended the Treviso resistance in the 30th minute when he scored EEMSA’s opener.
Clifford Atangong scored EEMSA’s second nine minutes later to give his side a two-nil lead at the interval.
In an attempt to get more from his team in the second segment, coach Ekokobe of EEMSA introduced lead striker Bache Manfred just before resumption.
It only took 16 minutes for Manfred to announce his arrival as he scored his first and EEMSA’s third of the afternoon.
At three-nil it was about damage limitation but EEMSA proved too strong for the visitors as Mbi Perkins completed his brace in the 78th minute and five minutes later Nanje Obase Yannick made it 5-0 from the penalty spot.
EEMSA won a third penalty of the game on the struck of full-time, this time around Bache Manfred took and converted it to complete a 6-0 demolition.
At full-time, satisfied coach Ekokobe of EEMSA discussed his view with the kick442.com team.
“I am a happy man. Our team played to instructions today. It was a game of two halves but most-importantly we took our chances today,” the trainer told kick442.com.
EEMSA are group leaders with nine points from three games this term and still alive in the cup of Cameroon playoffs.
