Lusaka Dynamos’ Cameroonian striker Baba Basile has told kick442.com that he remains quite motivated to do more in the rest of the games in this season’s Zambia Premier League championship.
Speaking to this online portal this weekend, the former New Stars and Stade Renard of Melong forward equally sounded happy about his performance on the pitch so far.
“It has been a great season for me. Scoring goals is an important part of my game, I have been in this top scorer position before so there is no pressure about being in the race for the golden boots.
Lusaka Dynamos are currently 6th on the log with 15 of their 32 goals to earn 40 points scored Baba Basile.
The championship like many others on the continent is on a break due to the CoronaVirus pandemic but the former Union d’Oyem forward is using the period to perfect his performance all be it individually.
“I have a training regime which I follow keenly with the objective of keeping my shape for commencement whenever we are asked to do so”: Baba stated.
The 2015 Cameroon League one top scorer joined the club in the build up to the current season and has already impressed his employers just like other clubs within the country and abroad.
He is on the books of the club with compatriot Ntui Walters Obasi who arrived the club a year earlier.
Just like Basile, Ntui has been very involved this campaign.
Basile is a goal better than James Kamanga of Red Arrows having featured in just 17 of his club’s games this campaign.
Coach Ian Bakala will have to count on the goal-getting abilities of the former Under 20 Lion when the league finally resumes.
