Avion Academy of Douala have completed the signing of former Victoria United of Limbe forward Tabe Ayuk Vidal ahead of the January transfer window.
The Club confirmed the acquisition of the former UMS of Loum forward Tabe Ayuk Vidal this Friday. kick442.com understands the player has penned a two-year deal following the expiration of his contract with UMS of Loum.
Noted for his physicality and technical superiority, Vidal shut to recognition and prominence at the national level when his incredible soccer artistry propelled UMS of Loum to the summit of Cameroonian football in 2015 when the Loum outfit won the Cameroon Cup. Vidal scored five goals in the cup race and eight in the league that season. The following season, his seven league goals helped UMS win the top-flight Championship for the first time. In 2019, the former Dynamic FC of Buea marks man played an integral part, as his club UMS won the league for the second time. Vidal scored two goals for UMS of Loum that season. He brings a winner’s mentality to Avion.
Vidal began his career with Continental FC of Buea at the South West Regional football championship in 2008.
He was at the club for two seasons and signed a three-year contract with North West Regional franchise National Polytechnic in 2011. He came back to the SW Region and played for Dynamic FC of Buea in the second tier Championship in the 2013/2014 season. During that season, he scored 16 goals and won the golden boot as top scorer in the National Elite 2.
Last January, Vidal announced he was retiring from professional football, but his latest move is certainly an indication he has come out of retirement.
