Orange Cameroon has congratulated and a number of gifts of gadgets plus communications credit to the players and staff of the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon for their successes in recent outings counting for the last round qualifier for the Women’s African Cup of Nations, Morocco 2022.
The Camerooon team that completed a 10-1 aggregate win against The Gambia on Tuesday, received varying gadgets from Orange-Cameroon ranging from communication credits, caps, T-shirts among others.
Coach Gabriel Zabo and girls, spent part of their early hours of this Thursday at the Cameroon Football Federation alongside the institution’s authorities; including the first Vice-President Celine Eko Mendomo- head of the Women’s football in the country and the Secretary General of FECAFOOT Benjamin Didier Banlock.
During the event in which Alain Blaise Batongue represented Orange-Cameroon,gadgets donated by the Telecommunications giant were handed to all members of the Cameroon women’s national team present at FECAFOOT, including the players and staff representatives.
Unfortunately some of the players like Nchout Njoya Ajara,Marie Awona and others had missed the event because they had gone back to their clubs. But Orange has assured that, all members of the team will receive their own part of the gifts reserved for all that participated in the games in Yaounde and Banjul.

Approximately fourty members of the Lionesses staff, participated in both games including Wednesday’s return-leg game which the team win by 2-1, after winning 8-0 at home four days earlier.
Meaning Cameroon has sailed through to another edition of the Women’s African Cup of Nations Championship. It is going to be the 23th participation for the three-time vice-Champions of Africa in the Women’s African Nations Championship.
The upcoming edition of the Women’s African Nations Championship is scheduled to take place between July 2st and 21st in Morocco.
Cameroon is one of the 12 nations that have made it to the competition, including record Champions Nigeria and debutants Togo, Burundi, Botswana, Burkina Faso plus Senegal coming back to the tournament for the first time in 12years.
Besides this Thursday’s event Orange Cameroon is a major sponsor of the activities of the Cameroon Football Federation.
