AS AWA’s head coach Hassan Balla has appreciated the resilience character of his players in picking a win against Lekie Ladies, despite the tedious debut of the encounter.
The football tactician with a record of 16 matches won, 42 goals scored and on a 48 point lead of the 12 clubs league, believes his team still has much to prove.
“We started the game very well but as time unfolded things became complicated for us. Things are always very difficult and that’s why we keep working hard for the best of results. ”
“I wish to congratulate the girls for the incredible performance shown against a Lekie side who was well organized in terms of play style despite being led by 4-1.” He added
AS AWA took the lead against Lekie FF in the second early minute of the game through a brilliant goal from Kevine Ossol, at the 11th minute came a second goal from Farida Machia. Captain Owona Mballa and mates mounted a high pressure on Lekie FF until the 69 and 73th minutes, when Ossol raised score to 4-0.
“The victory is based on hard work ,the entire team have been training ceaselessly with out Kevin Ossol, who recently returned from Morocco. So the game was aimed at putting in place all the aspects haven trained on. ” Hassan Balla concluded.
Coach Benoit Romeo Otelle’s girls managed a puller, some few minutes to the end of the game. However, the Lekie FF picked a second defeat in two games after a 3-1 victory imposed on her by Eding Ladies.
