The host country of the 2022 FIBA ​​Women’s World Cup has been known. The international basketball body (Federation of International Basketball Association, FIBA) has awarded the organization of this flagship competition to Australia.

There were two (2) finalists who dreamed of hosting this grand event. These are Russia and Australia. After a meeting of the FIBA ​​Central Council held by video conference, the choice was finally made for the country of the Pacific Ocean.

The city of Sydney will be the attraction of the world of women’s basketball in 2022. Two sites for 38 games with 12 participating nations. All in 10 days since the FIBA ​​Women’s World Cup 2022 will be held between September and October.

Australia will be hosting the competition for the second time after that of 1994. African countries now know where they need to shine in 2022.
