Potential Indomitable of Cameroon midfielder Aurelien Tchuamemi was one of three scorers for his side on Saturday evening as they ease pass French Ligue 1 championship rivals AS Monaco by three goals to one.
Marseille sacrificed a first-half advantage handed them in the 12th minute by Radonjic to lose by 1-3 against a Monaco side that looked unstoppable in the second segment.
Marseille took their one goal advantage to the break break but returned as a better team, scoring thrice without reply first through Guillermo Maripán in the 47th minute of the game, Aurelien Tchuamemi in the 75th minute and Stephane Jovetic in the 91st minute.
Substitute Aleksander Golovin assisted the first two goals for Monaco while Jotevic’s solo strike crowned an exciting night for the Monegasse at the Stade Louis II.
20-year-old Tchuamemi’s goal is his second plus an assist to his credit in 20 Ligue 1 games for Monaco this season.
Monaco are currently ranked 4th on the log after Matchday 21 of the championship in which they have accumulated 39 points.
Monaco travel to relegation-threatened Nantes for their next league assignment on Sunday, January 31.
Aurelien Tchuamemi is eligible to represent either France by birth or Cameroon by descent.
Though he possesses birthright to the Malian nationality, he has represented only Les Blues at youth levels and is expected to nail his colours to the French mast someday in future.
