Newly-signed Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon vice-captain Augustine Ejangue Sidiki will be available for selection in this Sunday’s match-day two fixture in the Cameroon Women’s Guinness Super League championship.
The 31-year-old center-half recently joined FC Ebolowa, but she was not registered in time to feature in the Club’s match-day one defeat at home to Awa Ladies.
Club sources have now confirmed her registration and availability for coach team.
FC Ebolowa host Eding Sport ladies at the Nkovos Municipal Stadium on Sunday with both sides hoping to bounce defeats in their opening round of matches.
Ejangue joined the Club as a free agent after her contract at Norwegian Toppserien outfit Arna Bjonar wasn’t renewed.
It is the second Club in Cameroon Edjangue is representing in the past few years after her previous spell at Amazone FAP in 2018.
The native of Douala brings loads of experience to the team, having been in the beautiful game for more over ten years.
The ex-Amazon Grimstad and Rossinyaka full-back began her career at Equato-Guinean outfit FC Green Eagles in 2011.
She has represented Spanish side Santa Teresa CD, Fortuna Hjorring, Tyresso FF amongst others.
A member of the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon squad at the 2019 world cup in France and one of the captains of the team, Edjangue return will surely oil the growing interest in the women’s game in the Central African nation.
In all, Edjangue has participated in two world cups with Cameroon plus three AWCON tournaments and the London 2012 Olympic games.
FC Ebolowa are preparing for their second season in the Cameroon Women’s top-flight Championship.
