Gabonese star striker, Aubameyang Pierre-Emerick has been nominated for the player of the month award for the month of February in the Spanish Premier League.
The former African Footballer of the year has made instant impact in the league after his switch from Arsenal to the Catalunya giants, Barcelona.
He has scored four goals after playing four games in the La Liga just in February scoring a hat trick against Valencia in the process. A feat which came in his first start . It has made him the first player in history to score a hat trick in the Bundesliga, Premier League and the La Liga.
Besides, his goal haul since joining the multiple winners has risen to five in all competitions putting paid to any insinuations he lost his scoring instinct after a rough latter days at Arsenal.
The Gabonese captain will fend off competition from Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid, Nabil Fekir of Real Betis, Pau Torres of Villarwal, Vedat Muriqi of Mallorca, Pere Milla of Elche and Dani Vivian of Athletic Club to win the award.
