Arsenal and Gabonese Super Star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has made known that some of his roots can be traced to Ghana.
The former African football of the year states that he shares roots with his teammate and Arsenal’s new recruit, Thomas Partey.
The 31-year-old reveals this during a press conference on Friday when asked about how his Ghanaian team-mate Thomas Partey was settling in at the North London club.
“My family is from Gabon but I also have some roots in Ghana where Thomas is from so we are family too!'” Aubameyang said in a press conference on Friday when asked about Partey.
Soccer Africa reports that Aubameyang’s father Pierre-François, a former international footballer for Garbon was born in the Gabonese city of Bitam to a Ghanaian mother and a Gabonese father.
