Gabonese forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Liverpool’s German Manager Jurgen Klopp have been named September’s Premier League Player of the Month and Coach of the month respectively.
The 30 year old Arsenal forward found the back of the net five times in four league games in September, with an eye catching free-kick late into their game against Aston Villa which secured all three points for the Gunners in a highly contested 3-2 win.
The former Dortmund striker also bagged a brace in their 2-2 draw with Watford and was on target in their draws with their North London rival Tottenham and Manchester United.
He was voted ahead of Liverpool’s Alexander-Arnold, Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez and Tottenham’s Son Heung-min.
Jurgen Klopp has now won the Manager of the month award for a second consecutive time.
It comes as no surprise given Liverpool’s perfect start to their Premier League campaign, with eight wins in eight games.
In September they defeated Newcastle United, Chelsea and Sheffield United.
He was voted ahead of Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers, Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe and Chelsea’s Frank Lampard.
