Atletico Madrid are seriously considering a contract extension for their Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey.
According to reports from Goal, the Madrid based club are considering extending Partey’s contract for an additional two years.
His current contract runs until June 2023, meaning an additional two years will see him tied to the Colchoneros till June 2025.
They are also planning to add a liberation clause of €100 million to the 26-year-old Ghanaian’s potential new contract.
Atletico are hoping the move will fern off any potential suitors, with Arsenal and Manchester United amongst the big names to manifested an interest in his services.
The former Almeria midfielder has featured in 35 games across all competitions this season, 24 of them in the Spanish LaLiga.
