French Ligue 1 championship side Stade Reims have reached an agreement for Cameroonian defender Joseph Atangana Mvondo to sign a new three-year deal.
The Club announced they had extended the contract of the 18-year old Under-20 Lion on Tuesday meaning he remains on their books till the summer of 2023.
The player who was a part of the Cameroon squad at the 2021 Under-20 AFCON tournament in Mauritania joined Reims in 2018 and has been a mainstay at the French Club’s reserve team thus earning a new contract.
Mvondo is expected to stay at the Club and develop into a full professional footballer in the years ahead.
The native from Yaoundé-Cameroon joins a number of Cameroon footballers plying their trade in France.
