YOSA have recovered from a 2-1 away defeat against UMS of Loum in match day 23. The boys of coach Nkabyo Martin have returned home to grab all three points against Avion Academy of the Nkam this Sunday.
The weaknesses of the boys of coach Charlemagne Mbongo in both the defense and midfield gave the yellow submarines the win on home soil.
From the kick off of the game, the submarines began mounting much pressure on the visiting academicians.
Tongua Emmanuel, Ngong Neville and Tengemo Emmanuel producing some skillful moves penetrating the Avion Academy backline but failed to get a goal in the early exchanges.
A Penalty was awarded to YOSA at the 31st minutes of play.The spot kick was brilliantly directed to the back of the net by Asongwe Louvette who beat goalkeeper Arnaud Fotso.
The first half of the game ended with YOSA 1-0 Avion.
Substitutions were done by both team managers at the second half of the game to ensure that victory for either sides but the most striking which was done by YOSA was at 25th mins in to the 2rd half of play when Eric Abanke left the pitch for new signing Mayenmen Yuh Moses who proved his tactics at the midfield with several shots but could not increase YOSA’s lead.
The game had more pace from the 85th minutes of play as both sides tried mounting pressure on each other but goals were difficult to come by. Several free kicks and corners were taken by Louis Dada and headers from the Emmanuel but the back of the net was not reached.
The referee finally sounded his whistle with YOSA returning with usual 3 points at home sending the Academicians away in frustration as they could not build on their one nil win over Stade Renard of melong in day 23.
YOSA is now 7th on the league table with 33 points.
Their next encounter will be against Canon at the Yong Francis Arena.
