Officials of the Asian Football Confederation led by Salman Al Khalifa from Bahrain has resolved to resume qualifying matches for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in October, kick442.com can report.
Match-day seven and Eight qualifiers matches are scheduled for October 7 and 13, 2022, while the next two rounds of the qualifiers are slated for November 12 and 17, 2020.
They become the first continental body to schedule qualifiers games since the outbreak of the Corona virus global pandemic early this year.
Asian Football Confederation is keen on completing the second qualifying rounds of the 2022 FIFA World Cup before the end of November 2020.
The third and final of the qualifiers of the World Cup qualifiers as well qualifiers for the 2023 Asian Cup scheduled in China are scheduled to take place in March 2021.

October 8: Australia Vs Kuwait, Bahrain Vs Cambodia; Saudi Arabia Vs Yemen; India Vs Qatar; United Arab Emirates Vs Malaysia;
October 13 : Maldives Vs Syria; Kuwait Vs Jordan; Hong Kong Vs Iraq; Palestine Vs Singapore; Yemen Vs Uzbekistan; Afghanistan Vs Oman; Qatar Vs Bangladesh; Indonesia Vs United Arab Emirates;
November 12: Guam Vs Syria; Nepal Vs Jordan; Iran Vs Bahrain, Iraq Vs Cambodia; Saudi Arabia Vs Palestine; Oman Vs Qatar; Bangladesh Vs Oman; United Arab Emirates Vs Thailand;
November 17: China Vs Syria; Yaipeh Vs Kuwait; Australia Jordan; Iran Vs Iraq; Bahrain Vs Hong Kong; Saudi Arabia Vs Uzbekistan; Palestine Vs Yemen; United Arab Emirates Vs Vietnam.
The Asian Football Confederation has however informed stakeholders that they are carefully monitoring the situation and urge actors to respect the World Health Organization, WHO.
CAF like other continental bodies, including FIFA have are monitoring the situation of the pandemic as their competitions have been off since March.
