The outgoing boss lasted three months at Matelots. He helped the club earn 12 points from 13 league games before his departure.

He was named the league’s manager of the month of November, having masterminded his club’s run of just one defeat in the month.

Coach “Mavie* as the new gaffer is popularly known has a job inn his hands. He is not a stranger to taking clubs to higher tier competitions. He may have failed to lift Southwest Regional Championship side LIFCA higher in two seasons, but History has not forgotten that he was a the fore front in Bamboutos FC’s search for and achievement of top flight promotion.

Matelots will be on the road in the first Saturday of next year before returning home to receive Racing four days later.

Renaissance FC have won their last three games in the championship while Matelots in winless in that time.

It promises to be an exciting first outing for coach Victor who once indicated interest in becoming coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon after the departure of Belgian AFCON winning coach Hugo Broos.

So far Fauve Azur, Renaissance FC, Foncha Street FC and Matelots of the 15 clubs in League 2 have changed the coach with whom they started the season.
