Former AS FUTURO forward Karim Mbazo’o has unraveled the reason behind his surprise visit to his former Club over the weekend.
Speaking in a recent interview on the Club’s website, the 20-year-old flying winger who was drafted into Kiyovu’s team of the 2019-2020 season released last week described his visit to the Club as a self-imposed obligation.
“Well if I must comment on why I am here today. I came for this event because, I believe it is important to do so. I am still very close to AS FUTURO though I am a player of Kiyovu FC. Futuro has been very important in my career. When I heard they were to receive the Bepanda Info trophy I told myself I will be there to support the Club. It was a self-imposed obligation,” Karim Mbazo’o told his Club’s website on Sunday, June, 21.
While waiting for the Cameroon football federation to indicate the resumption date for competitions in the country, AS Futuro officials have indicated their desire to participate in the international preseason tournament expected to take place in Douala once the current pandemic makes way.
On Friday, the tournament’s trophy was presented AS FUTURO officials as a part of the build up to the tournament.
Friday’s event happened at the Tropical hotel at Ecole de Police in Yaoundé, and Karim was a part of the event.
Mbazo’o joined AS FUTURO in the build up to the 2019-2020 season, but left for Kiyovu FC after a full preseason with his Cameroon Club.
Karim had a great debut campaign in Rwanda, he is serenely preparing for his second season in Rwanda.
