Cameroon Elite Two outfit AS FAP is in talks to hire a new gaffer ahead of the 2020-2021 season expected to resume in late September and early October 2020.
Cameroon online portal kmersport.com is reporting that the gaffer could be named lead trainer of the Club in the days ahead as Club representatives have had fruitful talks with the Cameroonian technician.
The military owned Club named after Cameroon’s Army and Police services are preparing for their third season in the Cameroon second tier football championship after a somewhat failed second season.
FAP was promoted to the second tier Championship in 2019 and in their first season season finished 4th and runners-up in the Cameroon Cup.
Unfortunately, last season the wheels completely came off and the Club struggled to assemble a run of wins in the championship.
The same source says the gaffer is likely to pen a one-year-deal.
Clubs in Cameroon are expected to resume training for the new season next month.
