Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and Al-Raed FC midfielder Arnaud Djoum Suitchine have picked up a crucial victory in the ongoing Saudi Pro league championship thanks to the 2017 AFCON winner.
Djoum started the scoring in Al-Raed’s 2-0 win away at Al-Fateh in match-day 15 of the Saudi Pro league.
A 22nd minute well-taken penalty from Arnaud Djoum Suitchine set Al-Raed on their way to their fourth win in 15 games this season.
The visitors protected the one goal advantage till the break but there was more to come.
Al-Fateh returned for the second segment of the game as a more organized side but lacking the end product to hurt Al-Raed.
The visitors doubled their advantage at the death when winger Mohamed Falah Al-Sahli scored the second in the 94th minute to kill the contest in favor of Al-Raed.
The boys of coach Besnik Hasi protected the two-goals advantage till full-time.
The victory takes Al-Raed’s points tally for the season to 16 in 15 games and leaves them on 12th spot on the log ahead of their home game against 15th-placed Damac FC on Sunday at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.
31-year-old Djoum fresh from scoring a goal in his 13th appearance of the season could be a crucial figure in this game.
