Senegalese defender Arfang Gueye has left French Ligue 1 side Lille to join Royal Excel Mouscron in the Belgian top flight, kick442.com can report.
The 20-year-old central defender will no longer be part of Lille’s team after agreeing to a move to Belgium.
Gueye joint Lille in 2018 from Senegalese side AS Dakar Sacré-Coeur.
The duration of his contract with Royal Excel Mouscron has not been made public by neither of the two clubs.
The defender never succeeded to break into Lille’s first team and failed to make a single appearance for their first team.
He remained a part of Lille’s Reserves, which has prompted the move to Belgium, where he is hoping to get competitive game time in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
