Barely hours after Kick442.com reported the transfer of 19-year-old intermediate Lions of Cameroon forward Abdoulaye Yahaya to Croatian side NK Lokomotiva on season deal, president Leon Aime Zang of APEJES of Mfou has insisted the player remains theirs while making some interesting revelations.
Yahaya’s Transfermarkt details were recently updated to list him as a player of NK Lokomotiva and other findings from the kick442.com crew indicated that the player was abroad-bound but it seems the player still has some time in Cameroon.
“Yahaya is our player, for now we didn’t sort his International Transfer Certificate before the deadline, so he remains a player of APEJES of Mfou,” president Leon Aime Zang told kick442.com.
Reports of Yahaya’s transfer divided public opinion especially given his importance to the intermediate Lions of Cameroon.
It appears the path to abroad still in need of some administrative formalities before becoming a deal.
We also understand the player has signed a contract with NK Lokomotiva reason his Transfermarkt has updated to that effect what is unclear is how it could be sorted out for the player to be eligible for the African nations Championship planned for early next year in Cameroon only for domestic league footballers.
Yahaya will remain in Cameroon and continue preparations with the intermediate Lions of Cameroon for the foreseeable future.
