The Melong boys dominated the early segment of the the game at the Annex Stadium I Yaounde but couldn’t follow their brilliant collective play with equal standard finishing. In the 40th minutes a wasted chance from Auguste Ledoux caused APEJES Mfou to break from the counter and punished Stade Renard through Moubarak Ndayou.
Efforts to produce another goal in the rest of the 5 minute proved abortive as both clubs were sent to the changing room with APEJES leading.
Upon resumption the second segment Stade Renard continued the high pressing style with repeated efforts to organize play but limited attempts on target.
In the 59th minute captain Nkuissi Thomas Legrand of Stade Renard went down in the APEJES but the referee waved play on.
A weak clearance from Goalkeeper Epane Letizi gifted APEJES midfielder Robert Tamatieu with the ball but his 61st minutes attempt to beat Epane from 35 yards was unsuccessful.
In the 80th minutes Nkuissi Thomas Legrand benefitted from a defensive mixed up on the edge of the APEJES box to notch home the equalizer and his second goal of the season.
Two minutes later substitute Brice Sindjo went down the APEJES box and stayed down hoping to get a penalty but the referee yet again waved play on.
Nkuissi Thomas was lucky to walk away without a card at the 84th minutes after he missed the ball and got Anjeh Akoh.
At full time both sides got a point. APEJES went away with Cotonsport in mind while Stade Renard clash with UMS next Sunday.
