Foncha Street FC are unarguably one of the best team that the Northwest region can boast of this season. They are the only side yet to record a defeat this season in the regional league and playoffs.

Behind this success is the coach of the team. He is coach Anumewa Frankline. A sports and physical education tutor (PEPS) and a graduate of INJS.

As a young footballer, Anumewa Frankline played with some clubs but decided to stop playing football due to the nature of his job. Thereafter, he decided to continue in the same discipline but this time as a coach because according to him, there was no way he could stay without involving himself into football. His desire of being a football actor made him to start his coaching career in Yaounde after his graduation from the National Institute of Youth and Sports, INJS.

Coach Anumewa Frankline won his first trophy as a coach in 2016 in Buea during the National FENASSCO “A” games where he was coach of the male football team of the Northwest region. Under his managerial skills and know how, his team won the gold medal.

He is also coach of the University of Bamenda football team since 2017. During the All Varsity games hosted by The University of Bamenda in 2017, he guided the male football team of UBa to winning the bronze medal and he replicated that same achievement in Maroua a year later.
In 2019 at the All Varsity games in Dschang, coach Anumewa Frankline won the gold medal with the male football team of UBa and was decorated coach of the tournament an achievement which he described as “a dream come true”.

During the 2017/2018 football season, Anumewa Frankline was deputy coach of Rainbow FC. Alongside coach Ngwa Remy, they were crowned Northwest regional champions and represented the region at the national interpools.

After his exploits with Rainbow FC, he was appointed head coach of Foncha Street FC at the start of this football season. His appointment has been a blessing to the team. The team is the only team yet to record a defeat this season in the regional league and playoffs. They were eliminated at the 8th finals of the cup of Cameroon by league one side, Fovu of Baham after eliminating two elite clubs. (Aigle and Renaissance).

Coach Anumewa Frankline is now looking forward to winning the Northwest regional Playoffs in the days ahead when his team takes on his former employers Rainbow FC in the finals of the Northwest regional Playoffs.

Should coach Anumewa Frankline and his team be crowned champions, he will definitely emerge as the best coach of the region.
