18-year-old Cameroonian descent, Swedish winger Anthony Elanga featured for Manchester United in the Club’s one-nil defeat against Aston Villa in a friendly game over the weekend.
The native of Hyllie-Sweden was introduced in the place of Marcus Rashford with 15 minutes left and his side trailing by a goal.
Elanga did not sparkle as expected by some, but he showed glimpses of his class in the 16 minutes he was on.
Elanga, a former Sweden Under-17 international is a son of former Cameroon international Joseph Elanga Fils. The lad has graduated and scored goals for different youth teams of Manchester United since 2018.
Elanga has already scored a goal in the EFL Cup this season and his Premier League debut over the weekend looks like the start of a new era for another Manchester United winger to to remember, this time around from Cameroon.
Sources close to the player have confirmed his willingness to play for Cameroon.
