The changes related to the 2019 AFCON of Nations seems to be unending.
Sources in Egypt have told kick442.com that Egypt has written to CAF to request for a change in the kick-off date of the upcoming 2019 competition.
Our Sources say the document has been constituted and handed to CAF carrying the above mentioned reason. Egypt requesting the kick off date be postponed by a week, because the program kick off date as it stands falls in the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fetr.
Should CAF agree to change the the kick off date as Egypt is requesting, then the Tournament will end in the 3rd week of July.
Egypt won the rights to host the competition in Dakar in January 2019 after Cameroon lost the rights to host the competition.
Egypt will host the AFCON for the fourth time this summer and it will be the first time the tournament is returning to the most decorated country since they lastly hosted and won the crown in 2006.
