Georges Constant Mandjeck – former Kadji Sports Academy midfielder has joined Cypriot topflight side Nea Salamis Ammochostos weeks after his departure from Kocaelispor.
Mandjeck who made 30 appearances in close to a year at the Turkish second tier side took to Twitter to announce his departure from the club last month but has quickly found another option.
The Club has confirmed the capture of the 33-year old midfield anchor-man on a one-year deal with an option for another.
The 2017 African cup of Nations winner will join compatriots Arnaud Djoum, Salli Edgard Narcisse, Yandal Ismael and co in the Cypriot topflight championship.
The native of Douala-Cameroon was clubless before the move meaning no transfer fee was involved.
The former Under-20 international in the twilight of his career has enjoyed journey-man’s career, featuring for eleven clubs across seven countries in Africa and Europe.
Mandjeck has won 50 caps for the indomitable Lions Cameroon and remains one of the most experienced Cameroonian in the business of football.
Maestro as he is fondly clalled has previously represented VFB Stuttgart, FC Metz, Rennes, Sparta Praha, AJ Auxerre, Macabbi Haifa, Erciyesspor and most-recently Waasland Beveren.
Mandjeck counts over 400 career games across the French Ligue 1, German Bundesliga, Turkish League, Belgian Jupiler Pro League among others.
