Cameroon Elite One outfit AS Fortuna of Mfou have made a significant addition to their technical staff by landing coach Anicet Stephane Koung who completed paper works this Sunday per reports on dbnmedia.net.
kick442.com understands president Roger Noah of has agreed a one-year deal Anicet Stephane Koung and he will serve as reinforcement to the technical staff headed by Ndedi Prosper.
The 31-year-old experienced trainer has
d some interesting comments for the media after he penned the deal.
“Contrary to where I am coming from (Renaissance FC ) the approach here was good. I spoke with my colleague (Prosper Ndedi) and my entourage and I can confirm by Monday I will be here to start work.”
Koung Anicet did a wonderful job for the Club in the 2019-2020 season, helping the Club finish 3rd in the championship, narrowly missing out on promotion to the top-flight but made up for the near miss by securing promotion a year later before leaving the club.
The trainer who has had stints at multiple Clubs including Aigle Royal of Menoua will spend his 11th season as a trainer on the books of the ambitious AS Fortuna side.
A handful of players at his new club previously worked with him elsewhere.
AS Fortuna will compete with 24 top tier Clubs for their maiden domestic title in the upcoming season.
