Top-flight Clubs in Angola have published a media statement signed on June 9, 2020 stating their intentions to set up an autonomous League management body to run the national championship in the country, kick442.com can report.
In the release, the presidents advanced their desire to have an institution void of the intervention of Angola Football Federation,FAF at the heart of football activities related to their Clubs.
Sources say the move is aimed at guaranteeing financial stability for most of the Clubs, and better management of the Girabola.
The FAF has been in charge of the competition over the past decades, but the advent of multiple football innovation bodies in the country including the recently created professional footballers Union makes this no surprise.
