Fans of Ajax Amsterdam have placed a large banner begging in-demand Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana Onana to stay for an extra season at Cryuiff Arena for an extra season.
Linked with a move to PSG, AC Milan, Chelsea, Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur amongst others, Onana looks almost certain to be on his way out of Amsterdam this summer.
Now, An emotional message from the Ajax faithful indicates that the fans have not had enough of their 24-year-old net minder they got from Barcelona five years ago.
“Onana, please one more year,” Ajax fans wrote at the entrance of the Club’s training facility in Amsterdam.
This is a clear message to the Fundesport Academy trainee with offers galore elsewhere.
Since arriving Amsterdam, Andre has grown into one of the best goalkeeper in the world.
Last summer, he had a gentleman’s agreement with Ajax officials to spend the 2019-2020 season at the Cryuiff Arena before finding a new challenge.
The Cameroonian joined the Dutch side in 2015 from Barcelona B and became Ajax’s undisputable first choice keeper in the 2016/2017 season. Since then, he has made 122 appearances in all competitions.
In the just-ended season, he was involved in 39 games, conceded 37 goals in all competitions with 15 clean sheets from 3500 minutes of football.
The Ngol Ngok native has contributed in winning one dutch league title and a dutch domestic cup for the Ajax faithfuls.
Multiple European giants have been enticed by This impressive statistics, and his performances. Amongst the interested Clubs Chelsea look more interested.
Earlier, this month, the Blues were rumored to be preparing an offer for the keeper.
