It will be difficult to see 24-year-old Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana spend another season at the Johan Cruijff Arena.
The Cameroon goalkeeper is on the wishlists of some of Europe’s elite clubs. FC Barcelona, Chelsea and Tottenham, now have reigning French Champions PSG in the queue of coubs in need of the services of Ex Barcelona-B goalkeeper.
The goalkeeper’s current contract at Ajax runs till June 2022, but the club has given him permission to leave at the end of the season should any club meet Ajax’s asking price of 30 million Euros.
Onana joint the Ajax reserves in 2015, after five years at Barcelona’s La Masia. He moved up to their first team in 2016, since then he has been a mainstay in the team.
Reports from French daily L’Equipe have it that, Onana is open to a move to PSG as he is willing to accept the second choice role behind Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
If Onana makes the move to the Parc de Prince, he will replace Spanish goalkeeper Sergio Rico on loan from Sevilla.
PSG have the option to make Rico’s loan move permanent but if they go for Onana, then that is unlikely.
The Nkol Ngok native has kept 12 clean sheets in 39 appearances across all competitions for Ajax this season.
