Super Falcons forward, Anam Imo scored her first goal of the season for Swedish Damallsvenskan league leaders, Rosengård in their 3-0 home win over Djurgården on Sunday, www.kick442.com can report.
The 19-year-old former Nasarawa Amazons striker started the matchday 14 fixture and scored Rosengård’s second goal of the game in the 56th minute to increase her side’s lead for her first league goal of the season.
Anna Anvegård scored the first goal for Rosengård in the 48th minute in their quest to retain their league title. Anam Imo doubled their lead as she saw 86 minutes of action before Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir sealed victory for Rosengård in the 84th minute.
Anam Imo last scored for Rosengård in their 5-0 win over Västeras BK in the Svenska Cupen on February 22, 2020.
She has represented Nigeria at the U-20 and senior level where she scored a goal against the Togolese women’s team in the final group game of the 2019 West African Football Union, WAFU Cup.
Rosengård presently occupies the first position on the Swedish Damallsvenskan table with 35 points from 14 games, three points ahead of second-placed Göteborg. They will play KIF Örebro in their next game on September 13.
