19-year-old Super Falcons forward, Anam Imo has signed a three year deal with Swedish Dammallsvenskan side, Piteå, www.kick442.com reports.
The former Nasarawa Amazons striker joined Piteå from another Swedish Dammallsvenskan side, Rosengard at the end of her two year deal with the former Dammallsvenskan Champions.
Anam Imo played substitute roles for Rosengard in the just concluded Swedish Dammallsvenskan season scoring two league goals against Djurgården and KIF Orebro. She also scored two goals in the Swedish Cup (Svenska Cupen).
She thus joined another Super Falcons defender in Faith Ikidi-Michael at Piteå.
Anam Imo was instrumental in the qualification of Nigeria for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, scoring in both legs of the final qualification game against South Africa.
She was named in the final squad list by coach
Thomas Dennerby to the 2018 WAFU Women’s Cup. At the tournament, she scored a goal against the Togolese women’s team in the final group game. In April 2018, Imo was in the starting lineup in Nigerian defeat to France in a friendly game in Le Mans.
