21-year-old Nigerian forward, Anam Imo scored a hat-trick as her Swedish Damallsvenskan side, Pitea thrashed Mallbackens 5-0 in the last Group 3 match of the 2021/2022 Svenkan Cupen.
Philippines Katrina Guillou opened the floodgates of goals for Pitea in the eleventh minute.
Fanny Andersson doubled the lead for Pitea five minutes later from the penalty spot.
Anam Imo made it three in the 32nd minute before the end of the first half.
The former Nasarawa Amazons and Rosengard forward scored her second goal of the game to increase Pitea’s lead to four in the 56th minute before completing the scoring with her side’s fifth goal in the 71st minute.
Anam Imo played for 81 minutes before she was replaced by Cecilia Edlund.
Her compatriot, Faith Michael played full 90 minutes for Pitea as their club crashed out of the Svenskan Cupen after finishing in the third position in Group 3 with four points from three games behind Ngozi Okobi-Ekeoghene’s Eskilstuna United (7 points) and Djurgarden (5 points).
Pitea will kick off its 2022 Swedish Damallsvenskan season against Djurgarden at the Stockholms Olympiastadion on March 27, 2022.
