An executive member of the Cameroon Amputee team whom would preferably withhold his name told this reporter that, stakeholders who are supposed to take charge of the team, have instead warned players and board members not to make any negative outings.

The threats are coming in as an attempt to cover the lack of financial and moral support offered the team barely 7 days before the Amputee AFCON 2019.

The Amputee Lions have been digging deep for inner strength, since arriving Yaounde – where they have been camping for over a month without the help of the Cameroon National Paralympic Committee.

The team is to supposed to leave Yaounde for Douala on Friday.

“We have no source to finance our flights and may not go to represent the country“, where the words of a lamenting executive member.

The Amputee AFCON begins from the 30th of September to October 4th in the home of the world champions Angola.

Cameroon is set to make her continental debut against the likes of Angola (continental runner-up and world champion Mexico 2018), Liberia, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Kenya and Niger.
