A 2-0 loss to Sierra Leone meant the last struck on the Carmel’s back as team Cameroon has now been bundled out of the gold medal race in the ongoing Amputee AFCON tourney.

There wasn’t any third time luck for the Amputee Lions on Sunday 6th, in the Nac. Benguela stadium.

The debutants conceded two early goals in the first half of the encounter and did not look like getting back to level terms through out the rest of the game.

The game is the 3rd straight loss for the Amputee Lions; the first match day saw them swallow a resounding 6-1 defeat in the hands of hosts Angola, before a 2-1 defeat to Nigeria and most recently Sierra Leone.

Cameroon would now be looking to therefore salvage some pride with the next game against Liberia on Monday, 11:00 am local time.

The Amputee Lions are in a precarious position and must defeat Liberia and Tanzania to avoid ending their maiden tournament at the bottom of the pile.
