28-year-old Cameroonian defender, Ambroise Oyongo Bitolo has agreed a deal to stay at the Stade de la Mousson till the summer of 2022.

The former Cotonsport of Garoua defender joined HSC Montpellier in January 2018 from impact Montreal and has been a regular at since then.

The 2017 AFCON winner has been more of a utility player at the club. He switches between the left back role and operating as a left midfielder when need be.

“A show of the club’s confidence on Ambroise Oyongo” : Montpellier Tweeted this Thursday.

Oyongo will be a part of the Orange and Blues for at least the next three seasons.

He has featured in 13 of the the club’s 16 league games this season under coach Michel Der Zakarian.

6th placed Montpellier will confront table topper PSG this Saturday.
The game will be an opportunity for Oyongo to meet his International colleague Eric Choupo-Moting who is on the books of PSG.
