Former Ghanaian international, Yussif Alhassan Chibsah has recounted how Daniel Amartey and Majeed Waris urged him to go into player agency.
Yussif Chibsah, former Asante Kotoko midfielder and CEO of Club African Consult limited which is aimed at athletes presentation, club consultation, and sponsorship.
Chibsah is currently the manager of players such as Daniel Amartey, Enoch Adu Kofi, Majeed Waris, Mohammed Nasiru, and others.
Narrating how he entered into player agency on Citi Sports, Yussif Chibsah said he was convinced by Daniel Amartey and Waris to enter into the player agency.
“I was helping a lot of players, filing their taxes and whenever they want to invite their family members, the process they go through. I was doing it for free as helping my younger brothers. I never had the intention of doing it as a profession or for money. Daniel Amartey and Majeed Waris approached me, and said I have been doing good to them and they think I could be a good agent. He stated that some of them had agents but we were not getting the services that was offering to them. They told me to consider it and use it as a job,that is how it started .” Yussif Chibsah said.
Yussif Alhassan Chibsah was the captain of the Ghana Olympic team, which exited in the first round of the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, having finished in third place in Group B.
He was also the captain of the Ghana Meteors in the 2003 All Africa Games in Abuja that won the bronze medal. His international efforts were recognized as he was a member of the Ghanaian standby players in the 2006 World Cup in Germany after playing most of the matches of the qualifying round. Chibsah earned 50 caps with different categories of International Ghana football from U-17 to the senior team.
He also featured for Asante Kotoko and King Faisal Babies locally.
