Cameroonians are eagerly waiting the release of the full list of players for their upcoming 2021 AFCON qualifiers clash against Malawi this month.

kick442.com understands, the head coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Antonio Da Silva Oliveira Conceição will include a few players who had been away from the Den for a while.

This online portal understands, Nicolas Nkoulou, Triston Dingome and Alan Romeo Nyom will all be recalled for next month’s AFCON qualifiers.

29-year-old Italian-based defender Nicolas Julio Nkoulou of Torino.

The 2017 AFCON winner has been handed a recall for the first time in close to two years.

Nkoulou took a self imposed retirement from international football after winning the 2017 AFCON trophy in Gabon.

His departure without explanation and performances at club level pushed many Cameroonians to clamor for his return which became a near sure event after he was spotted in a discussion with Cameroon’s minister sports and physical education Narcisse Mouelle Kombi in December and later with coach Conceição.

His invitation is the first in close to two years.

The former Indomitable Lions captain has earned 75 caps for Cameroon with two goals and an AFCON trophy to show for.

In addition, 29-year-old French-born Cameroon international Triston Dingome has been handed a call up for the first time since been left of of Cameroon’s 2019 AFCON squad.

The Reims midfielder was added into Cameroon’s provisional squad for the 2019 AFCON tournament alongside Steve Mvoue. Dingome didn’t make the squad for the tournament due to administrative problems.

To an extent he is one of the new boys coach Conceição is investing trust on.

Still in the defensive half, kick442.com understands in-form Getafe full-back Alain Romeo Nyom has been recalled for the first time since he last featured in a friendly game against Tunisia in October 2019 in Rades.

The 30-year-old former Watford defender has been second-best to Fai Collins in most of his time in the national team.

The French-born defender has won 27 senior caps for Cameroon and featured at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Cameroon will face Mozambique in match-day three and four of the 2021 AFCON qualifiers on the 26th of March in Douala and in Maputo four days later.

The Cameroonian public eagerly awaits the release of the lists of players invited for the two legged games.

At least as at now we understand the above-mentioned mentioned players have okay their availability to the coach.
