After their first defeat to Delta Queens at the first game of the 2021 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership, Edo Queens’ coach, Stanley Osaze Francis is of the view that his wards can bounce back in their next game as he expressed satisfaction in their style of play.
“I am satisfied with their game and there is room for improvement. It’s our first game and all hope is not lost. We still have to work on our next game.” Stanley Osaze Francis told pressmen after Edo Queens 2-1 defeat to Delta Queens.
The coach apologises to Edo Queens’ fans opining that the team will pick up from their next game against Sunshine Queens.
He said: “I want to tell the fans that we are sorry for today for not winning. It’s quite disappointing but we will pick it up from our next game as we hope to make up in our next game.”
Edo Queens and Sunshine Queens will square up in their second game at the ongoing 2021 NWFL Premiership Super Six on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
Edo and Sunshine Queens played out a barren draw when both sides last met on January 6, 2021, in the 2021 NWFL Premiership week four-game in Akure.
